The German sensation had to be stretchered off the pitch after a painful collision with Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The shocking incident happened in the first half of the match as Musiala raced to the byline. He found himself sandwiched between PSG defender Willian Pacho and the onrushing Donnarumma. In an attempt to collect the ball, the Italian goalkeeper launched himself forward, but in the process, Musiala’s leg was caught awkwardly underneath the custodian's body.

As the 22-year-old went down on the ground, his foot appeared to be unnaturally twisted at the ankle, a sight that left the players terrified. Musiala reportedly suffered a broken left fibula and will be sidelined for several months.
