Alisha Lehmann pens emotional goodbye as Juventus team-mate she tipped to become 'one of the best in the world' moves to NWSL side Washington Spirit

Alisha Lehmann posted a goodbye to Juventus team-mate Sofia Cantore after she completed a transfer to NWSL club Washington Spirit.

Juventus star Lehmann took to social media to wish departing teammate Cantore all the best after her transfer to NWSL side Washington Spirit was confirmed. The 25-year-old has signed a contract which will run until 2028 and will become the first Italian player ever to feature in the NWSL.

Cantore leaves Juve after scoring 38 goals in 128 appearances for the Italian giants, who she joined all the way back in 2017. She most recently helped the Bianconere win a domestic double, scoring in the Coppa Italia final against Roma.
