The former Manchester United winger netted Marseille’s first of the night as they recovered from going a goal down to prevail 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at Stade Velodrome. Luis Henrique grabbed the winner for the hosts five minutes from time.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side displayed commendable battling qualities in order to claim all three points, with Greenwood once again leading from the front as he registered his 13th Ligue 1 goal of the season – leaving him just one adrift of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Ousmane Dembele in the top-scorer charts.

Greenwood told afterwards, as Marseille delivered the perfect response to their disappointing 2-0 defeat at Nice last time out: “We all stayed together, we worked hard all week. We had to react after Nice. We managed to win this match. It was incredible tonight.”
